Heather Russell

Executive Director, Community Re

Heather Russell, Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, has been qualified since 1992, and has worked in (re)insurance for the last 35 years. Heather first became involved in the run-off sector in the early 1990’s when she joined Market Run-Off Services, part of the Hampden Group,  as manager of the reinsurance department she dealt with a number of different legacy accounts across various roles including commutations,  reporting to clients and new business projects.

In 2005 she took on a wider role within the one of the larger Hampden accounts -Community Re, and was made a Director of Hampden Plc and Community Re. Heather joined Carrick in 2020 as an Executive Director of Community Re.

Heather is involved with IRLA (Insurance and Reinsurance Legacy Association) and has been a member of the Learning and Development Academy since 2014.
